Rondhing Dance
This Madura’s traditional dance is such a greetings dance for welcoming the honor guesses. Historically, this dance is symbolizing the step for a prince to be a king at Madura ancient kingdom.
This dance was originally come from Pamekasan, the other part of Madura’s area. Hence, this dance also become the symbol of Pamekasan inhabitant struggle against the colonist.
Like other dance type growing in Madura, Rondhing dance is using the attendant of gamelan music or ordinary called as saronen. This dance was popular in 1960-an year.
