Barongko

BARONGKO is buginese typical dessert. It is made of banana soft dough, coconut milk, and eggs. The dough is wrapped in banana leaves and steamed. As an appetizer, the dough is usually mixed with jackfruit, so it brings a fragrant aroma.

The texture of this food is very soft and very tasty on tongue. Jackfruit aroma mixture and wrapped banana leaves makes the food taste is very distinctive. Barongko usually served cold.

Almost in every special event, barongko always served to guests. Understandably, these foods had allegedly served only within the royal palace. But now barongko almost always sold in food stores, in supermarkets and malls, and in restaurants as a dessert.
