BALI named one of the “World’s Best Islands” by BBC Travel

The Fabled Indonesian island of Bali once again received worldwide spotlight as BBC Travel named Bali as one of the world’s best islands on its slideshow feature issued on Wednesday, November 30th, 2011.

“Lapped by the warm waters of the Indian Ocean, Bali is but one of 17,500 islands in the Indonesian archipelago; yet even among its colorful neighbors — and even after decades of tourism development — it stands alone in its lushness and incomparable beauty” is the description written next to the beautiful pictures of sunrise over a mountain horizon overlooking lush rice fields which perfectly illustrates the magical beauty of Bali.

In 2009, Travel & Leisure Magazine also awarded Bali the World’s Best Island in 2009, while the Lonely Planet’s Best of Travel 2010 ranked Bali second only among the world’s Top Regions.

Also known as the Land of the Gods, Bali appeals through its sheer natural beauty of looming volcanoes and lush terraced rice fields that exude peace and serenity. Bali enchants with its dramatic dances and colorful ceremonies, its arts and crafts, to its luxurious beach resorts and exciting night life. This exotic island also has much to offer, from inspirational spirituality to fine dining and meeting experiences, from world class surfing and diving to exhilarating treks in the wild, and the authentic culture that decorates the daily life of its charming people.

Joining Bali in the list of world’s five best islands are: Santorini island in Greece, Cape Breton in Canada, Boracay in the Philippines, and the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.
